Tiny Screen to Jumbo Tron Although Kristi and I both grew up as Badger fans in Wisconsin, I "matured" into a Gopher fan while attending college at the U of MN. Yesterday, the two schools played football for the 117th time, continuing the most-played rivalry in NCAA history. Nevermind who won, but it was Kristi's first time on the Jumbotron! Not because I proposed again, but because we snapped a self-portrait and texted it to gophers@fanchatter.com. See how much fun texting can be, Mom?  fanchatter.com appears to be a Twitter-like service for sports fans. Anyone can create a group, and I was happy to learn that Mariucci Arena was named one of the Top Ten College Sports Venues by Sports Illustrated while browsing the Gopher Hockey "group" (it has only one member). Upon further investigation, FanChatter is based in St. Paul and launched in October at MinneDemo, which looks like a fun event to see some of the cool technology being developed in the Twin Cities.
