WTF is a Countertenor, Mate?

It's a man who sings like a woman, that's what. Last night, Heather was kind enough to accompany me to a performance of Carmina Burana by the Minnesota Orchestra. I won the tickets from work, but you would be amazed at how difficult it was to give one away! There are two reasons that this event was significant in my life:

  • I've lived in Minneapolis since 1998 and graduated with a Music minor, yet this was my first ever orchestra concert.
  • During one of my 4 (or 5?) years in the Lighthouse Brigade, our field show was selections from Carmina Burana. Of course, I don't remember what year it was - too bad I wasn't blogging back then ;)

I failed to mention it yesterday, but Jill and I had dinner on Thursday at Red's Savoy Inn and Pizza, where the food was delicious and the service left a bit to be desired. It was great to see her again, and catch up on the past 8 months or so. Speaking of delicious food, anyone in Minnesota interested in free Chipotle?

I thought so.

Because Susan is working this rainy Memorial Day weekend, I've decided to take the opportunity to electronically "clean house," which means that the www portion of bradleypjohnson.com will be unavailable until things are back up & running. Thanks to the constant monitoring of the good folks at DiscountASP, The Myth will undergo no such downtime.

Get er done!
