Unusual Day
I donated blood for the first time in a long time… hurts so good.
I have already been to Starbucks twice - before noon.
There are 3 persimmons on my desk.

Persimmons are delicious (and fun to say). I scarfed them down by the dozen when I lived in LA but the good ones are rather hard to find in MN (even in Eden Prairie!). They are ripe when they're a darker orange color - that is when they are at their sweetest and juciest best. The light yellow ones are not ripe. They are dry, and hurty, and have an odd/unpleasant aftertaste. One local place that occasionaly carries persimmons is the Eisenberg Fruit Co d/t St Paul.
