Chatting With 12 Year Old Boys
Rewind to a week and a half ago, my new watch had just arrived and I was all over the SPOTstop.com forums trying to figure out how it was going to handle my upcoming weekend in Arizona. The only person to reply to my discussion board posts was Kas, an "evangelist" who averages 7.36 posts per day (2060 and counting), and I noticed he shared his MSN Messenger contact info...
I put him on my buddy list to ask a follow-up question, and soon learned that he was a 12 year old kid from Toronto. This immediately creeped me out, and not because he was a wacky Canadian. We've chatted a few times since then, and this morning I made a comment that immediately triggered the "MUST BLOG NOW" portion of my brain.
but i can't imagine not having a computer sitting under my desk at home
Not exactly profound, but I realized how dated that thought could become in the not-too-distant future and wanted to capture it for posterity. He was asking me if I had a laptop, and my argument was that it is a nice compliment to a desktop PC at home but far from a replacement.
Anyways, he's working on a website at beyond-spot.com, check it out yo.
