Free* BlackBerry

Since I'm currently driving around in an Impala rented from Avis, I am eligible for a free BlackBerry - yippie!

*The catch is that it will cost me $25.83/month for 12 months minimum to try it out, which is slightly more than I've invested in my SPOT watch and PDA combined. I've heard that people who own BlackBerrys (BlackBerries?) are rabid enthusiasts, but I need to decide if I'm willing to take that plunge...

  • I, for one, welcome our Blackberry overlords. I think that the deal is totally worth it. It's not like you have a special Batman watch that tells time, sports scores, movie times, weather and works really well when snowboarding during the Vikings game! Enjoy Life and Deez.

  • I vote no on the Blackberry. I'll guess that's about 1/2 your cell phone bill - you really think that's necessary? If you're a CEO or Wall Street bigwig, you need a Blackberry. The rest of us don't. Plus, you can access your email on your phone w/ pull rather than push technology if it's that important to access your email when you're away from your laptop. Which, in your case, is rarely. Vote is now at 1-1. Who else will vote?

  • I just don't get how $25.83 a month is free. ANYWAY....that's just me!

  • What if you already have a cell phone. Is it possible to just extend your contact for another year and get the free blackberry??
