Your HTML cannot be accepted
I'm a big fan of post templates in Blogger, and frustrated by Movable Type's apparent lack of comparable functionality. I recently tried to change my template, and discovered that the target="_blank" attribute of the anchor tag (causes links to open in a new window) is no longer allowed!
After some deep, calming breaths, I decided to live without them - until I realize that the table tag I wanted to add is also illegal! What gives?!? How am I supposed to post the results of my upcoming rounds in handy HTML table format? You can bet that I'm not going to type all those damn trs and tds every time.
It just occurred to me that any non-HTML speaking readers aren't going to enjoy this post all that much. How about some audience participation - are you for or against links on The Myth popping up in new windows? I wouldn't want to lose a reader because I linked to something more interesting than I had to say...

I am a fan of your poppong upidness and I say we boycot Blogger until they change this nonsense. Bloggers Revolt! That's the real reason I haven't blogged anymore.

I read your blog. All 3 paragraphs. Twice. None of it made sense to me at all except the fact that you stated "non HTML people may not understand this". When I tell you that sometimes you alienate people with your tech speak, this is a perfect example. I don't know what "popping up in new windows" means, or "table tags are illegal" and there are no context clues that help me.

Does this disaster spell the end of "The Myth 2.0"? Will we be stuck here in Bloggerland forever?
