A big thanks to B&B Tires and Service for not securing their wireless router and therefore allowing me to blog while they do my alignment. Although my appointment was 15 minutes ago and the car hasn't moved from its parking spot just yet...
While I'm on the subject of businesses in Lodi that I like, Staples should be heralded as a procrastinators' best friend. I bought Susan's camera there 2 days before her birthday for a hurty $430 retail - specifically because they have no restocking fees.
After making sure she loved it, I ordered the same camera online for $340. When it arrived a week later, I returned it to Staples and they were none the wiser. The $90 I pocketed was more than enough to cover a 1 GB SD card to ensure oodles of picture taking fun...
In my opinion, this in no way hurt Staples because they received an untouched camera in return. It did, however, screw the state of CA in favor of UPS - something I am completely OK with. Am I a horrible person?
It's worth noting that this strategy can also be employed for non-procrastinary (probably not actually a word) purposes, if for example you wanted to try something at home before buying it online and dealing with the time and expense of return shipping.
UPDATE: Bret (presumably the greater of the 2 B's) seems like a really honest guy, and I'm totally comfortable with him working on my car - but he just showed me yet another nail in my damn tire! That makes 3 in as many months, you'd think I worked at a construction site or something...
