Uno, Dos, Tres, Catorce

I'm finding that swimming laps is a nice change from the usual cardio routine of treadmill/elliptical machines. Since this necessitates use of the locker room (and therefore lots of old man nudity), Susan picked up a combo lock for me today.

Lo and behold - the last two numbers are the month and day of my mom's birth. At first I was surprised, but after thinking about it for a minute I wonder if I could "relate" to any two numbers that same way? For all I know, the lock she didn't buy could have matched my SSN, shirt size, who knows...

Speaking of my mom, Happy 29th (right?) Anniversary!

  • Yes, it was 29 on saturday! Dad and I almost ended up at a Prom up in Milwaukee. We went to the Hyatt for an overnight getaway and narrowly escaped Prom by going the night before our anniversary.

  • Hey Brad,

In the tradition of people from high school finding your blog, here I am; the lesser of two trombonists-Shawn Panyk. I am enjoying your site, but there are so many entries, I am grieved that I will have to read so much just to catch up.

I also have blog-fever, so come check mine out sometime!

  • I assumed that Liz found out about my blog through the Martha > Jake grapevine, how about you Shawn?

  • I followed the link on Martha's page.
(side note: I'm thrilled that you love Firefox as well)

  • Do you still talk to Martha? How did you find her blog?

  • I haven't been in touch with you or Martha since High school. But I recently felt like looking up people I used to know. I thought of the both of you, but reasoned her name would be easier to Google. It took me to some page with a link to her blog. And there you have it.

I left a similar comment on her site, but she doesn't seem to be as faithful a blogger as some, so she probably doesn't know that I've been there.
