Libraries are Cool

Every time I go to the library, I love it a little bit more. I was especially impressed by the selection (and current-ness?) of their travel books. I'm currently flipping through Frommer's Irreverent Guide to Seattle and Portland, and have the "legit" Frommer waiting in the wings.

I was in a hurry, but couldn't help but grab a few books from the "New Releases" section...
I'm especially pumped about that last one ;)

  • I'm not sure how CA is, but my FAVORITE part about the library is keeping track of my account online and requesting 99% of the books I check out online and then just picking them up on hold when I get there. It rocks!

  • Ditto, Laura.

I just browse around online, not unlike how someone might browse on Amazon.com. Then when I see things I like, I request them and the library emails me when they're ready for me.

Plus......my library lets me keep a list (several categorized lists actually) of stuff I might want to check out at some later date. Then when I want to request something I can just go to that list and pick something out.

    The library ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
