Ahoy, Back on Dry Land
So much for ¨discounted¨ Internet access at the resort - we´re paying $1 USD for an hour at the Maritime Terminal after a day on the high seas of the Bay of Banderas.
Our first stop was Los Arcos (¨the arches¨ for those of you who don´t habla Espanol), where we swallowed a bunch of salt water and didn´t see one damn fish. This is when the open bar started, so I downed my first of about 7 mai tais. They kept driving the boat real slow so we could ¨enjoy¨the scenic coastline, but in reality it just made the boat rock an awful lot and several people got sick.
We arrived at Las Animas next, where the locals pestered us to buy (among other things) henna tattoos, jewlery, parasailing rides, pies, nuts, and cervezas. If this computer had an SD slot, I would post some pictures of stuff we drew in the sand and frolicking in the surf - but you´re gonna have to wait.
Our last stop was Quimixto, another village accessible only by water - this time we hiked up to a waterfall. I took our trusty single-use waterproof camera to the base of the agua fria, so we´ll see if any of the pictures I snapped will actually turn out. The overall experience was good for $26/person, but nothing to get excited about...
