GeoWeb
You've probably never used this term before, but you should start. It refers to the proliferation of map-based data online, and the tools that have evolved to make it easy for anyone to add their own data to a map...
Kristi and I have created maps for several of our trips, including this weekend in Chicago, Seattle & Washington, our PCH Road Trip, and New York last fall.
After my first visit to Whistling Straits for a practice round before the US Senior Open, I decided to tag location of all 18 holes.
Toni & Drew used WeddingMapper for their Omaha wedding in April.
I previously blogged the map I created to outline the area of South Lake Tahoe that was burned after an illegal campfire got out of control.
So why am I writing about this now? Because I read not one, but two articles in Wired on the plane last and saw another in today's New York Times. Read up!Labels: map, nytimes, wired
