18 + 6 = 2

I just sent myself a gift certificate from Amazon.com, and was surprised by the fine print:

"This gift certificate is valid for 18 months, followed by a 6 month grace period, after which it will expire."

How about "This gift certificate is valid for 2 years."?

  • Is this a cry out for help? You know, I can talk to Kristi. I'm sure we can come up with some thoughtful gifts so you don't have to "surprise" yourself with $5 gift cards, only hoping to bring a fleeting glimmer of happiness into your daily routine.

  • What happened to the days when you used to post two or three times a day?? Now you go days -- even weeks without anything... Was this just a fad to you?...

  • It wasn't a fad, but I just don't find the time to post as frequently anymore. The truth is I used to have more free time at work to troll the internet and find interesting stuff and write about it, but that's not the case anymore :(
